Glorious Sunshine and Scents

It’s probably a direct result of all the rain we’ve had this past two days….the scent in the air.  Actually I should say scents!!!!  It is intoxicating outside with lemon verbena, olives, neshpera blossoms, orange and on and on.  Many of them you catch in passing and before your brain can identify it, along comes something else.  Absolutely marvelous.

We needed to go to Faro early morning and had thought to take a walk o the Faro beach but it turned out we were ready to head home much sooner than expected and changed our plans.  Came home, dropped some things off then headed into Fuzeta for a long walk around town and all around the beach and harbour.  In my element is putting it mildly and to boot, it hit 21.5 degrees!!!

We never seem to manage more than a few kms before one of us is asking to stop and take a few photos.

Today we explored several smaller routes in and around where we are, where friends will be staying and in the Fuzeta area.  It truly doesn’t matter how many years I’ve been coming here, I always end up with a surprise or two and end up in places least expected.  I love that aspect of exploring here.

  2. Hello Boys

This morning ca. 11.00 I went by car to Olhão and thought: The houses here are not so bad. Suddenly I saw a dreamy old house in a private park. It was like a forgotten history. Then I saw two ladies who made photos – sorry – there where two “machos”. I started to laugh and realized that’s you. I told this adventure to Ewald and said: Certainly we will receive today some nice house-pictures from Randy and Marc. Wherever you are, I am behind you…

Thank you, have a fine evening – and tomorrow a sunny day

I have so enjoyed your blog to date. Today brought back memories of Fuzeta and all the good times we had. I wish you could send the scents our way here in Halifax as the only scent we have is ‘cold wind”.
