Just Another Manic Monday in the Mountains!

Marvelous morning for a hike at São Miguel near Moncarapacho.  Marc was feeling a bit achy in his knees and had opted to stay at home and collage in peace and quiet on the upstairs terrace, which left Pat, Gary and myself to master the mountain on this hot and sunny day.
We took about two hours in total and thoroughly enjoyed the hike.  Very pleased with ourselves that we didn’t let the hot sun deter us AND, we didn’t wilt!!!
Once home  the four of us headed out for lunch.  Ana’s is closed on Mondays and we decided to try one of the other local places.

I guess we must have been a bit late as most of the prato do dias were “finished” and our choice came down to breaded and fried calamari…….no thanks…….or fresh tuna lasagne…..ok…..Gary, Marc and I had that while Pat enjoyed a creamy soup.   It was all pleasant enough but Ana and Simon have us spoiled.

A relaxing late afternoon…….I curled up on the terrace and read, Marc did a bit more collage, Pat and Gary took a walk and picked up some groceries then we all relaxed poolside with Benoit and Diane…..always a lovely way to wrap up a hot afternoon.

Tomorrow there is a possible road trip on tap but…….we’ll have to wait and see if it actually manifests itself!!!  and so will you!  Ciao
